The Story Behind Olori Adire Collection

The Story Behind Olori Adire Collection

"Olori" which means queen and every piece in this collection is made for the woman who carries herself like royalty, effortlessly and unapologetically.

The Olori Adire Bubu Collection is a vibrant celebration of Africa’s rich textile heritage, rooted in the centuries-old Yoruba art of Adire, meaning "tie and dye" in the Yoruba language of Nigeria. Originally were handcrafted by women in Abeokuta, Nigeria, but now could be handmade from any part of Nigeria. Adire is more than just fabric, it is a language of identity, symbolism, and status. Each design tells a deep story, each dye pattern holds meaning, and each woman who wear it embodies pride and grace.

We created this one-size-fits-most maxi dress collection to honor and uphold that legacy for the modern woman who wants to feel free, confident, and connected to something deeper in this day and age! Whether you're in Lagos, London, New York, Kenya, or Nairobi, these dresses would always remind you of home, of the ancestors who dyed by hand, and the future queens redefining beauty and individuality today.

Crafted in various bold colors and fluid silhouettes, the Olori Adire Bubu maxi dresses embrace every curve and character, still promoting modesty. No two prints are usually exactly alike, a tribute to the diversity of African womanhood and the uniqueness in each of us.

Olori Adiré is not just a dress. It’s a statement. It’s heritage, modernized.
Wear it like a queen with pride.
